SUMMARY:Long Beach Moms play mahjong at The Small Market
DESCRIPTION:Long Beach Moms Play Mahjong at The Small Market : We will teach you or come and do a social play with us! \nThree Sundays this fall. Five tables. Twenty seats. Bring your hands — we’ll teach you the rest. \nMaking friends as an adult is hard\, and here’s why: it almost never happens over coffee (because some of us have day jobs)\, where you sit across from someone and take turns being interesting. It happens sideways — when your hands are busy and there’s something on the table between you. \nThat’s a mahjong table. It’s held women together for a hundred years for exactly this reason. \nLong Beach Moms and Mahj Club are taking over The Small Market in Naples for three Sunday afternoons. Five tables of four. Twenty women. Two hours where nobody needs anything from you. \nYou don’t have to be a mother to sit at this table. \nYou don’t have to know how to play. \nYou don’t have to bring anyone with you. \n\nIntro to Mahj — $60 · Two tables\, eight seats. American mahjong from absolute zero\, taught by Mahj Club. The tiles\, the card\, the Charleston\, and what a Joker actually does. You’ll play real hands by the end. Come alone — most do. This seat is for one selected Sunday date. \nTo RSVP: Zelle $60 to angelica@themotherhoodconnection.com or pay $62.40 via credit card (includes processing fee). \n\n Social Play — $15 · Four tables\, 16 seats. For anyone who knows their way around the tiles. Instructor on hand for rule questions. This seat is for one selected Sunday date. SOLD OUT >> Book November and/or December \n\nSelect Sundays >>  Oct 18 · Nov 15 · Dec 13  3:00–5:00 PM \nDoors at 3:00. Play until 5:00. Linger after — The Small Market is stocked with flowers\, gifts\, and good food\, and Annie has opened her doors to us. \nQuick answers: \nTruly a beginner? Truly. From zero\, taught kindly. \nBring anything? Nothing. Mahj Club brings the sets. \nCome alone? Please do. Most arrive alone and leave with a group text. \nNot a mom? Come anyway. \nKids? This one’s for the grown-ups. \nFine Print – you will have a good time and you can purchase food and maybe wine to nosh on. Bring your busy brain and unplug from the family and work noise. Engagement of laughter and usage of strategic brain power is a side effect you will want more of. \nWe are Long Beach Moms\, the village you’ve been craving. We are your trusted local resource since 2019. \nAll rights reserved. No refunds\, you can arrange to use your ticket at a future date.
