DESCRIPTION:BYO Long Beach started at the beginning of 2017 with a goal to inspire locals to reduce their trash consumption and focus on reusable alternatives. Perfection is not the goal\, but progress. We can’t all do everything\, but everyone can do something.\n\n\n\n\nThe workshop is a 30-min tour of our refill shop where we explain how the refill process works from start to finish. Participants will learn about our product ingredients\, costs\, containers\, and how to feel confident refilling reusables on their own. We will also do a short presentation about the plastic pollution problem and solutions. Participants can bring any container they’d like to fill with personal or homecare products. We also have containers for purchase\, and some for free as well. The workshop will be 45-mins with the presentation. The workshop is free\, though families are welcome to donate to our organization if they feel inspired.\n\n\n\n\nOur everyday choices can create a massive change overtime\, especially when done as a collective. DESCRIPTION:Mamas\, come on out!\nCome enjoy the fresh air\, get a little exercise in\, conversation with fellow local moms\, and watch the littles interact and explore. All ages are welcome. It’s a fairly easy hike\, mostly flat\, and the kids love it!\nJoin us on a short hike exploring leaves\, animal footprints\, and tossing twigs into the stream! There is a big pond with fish\, turtles\, and ducks…\nBring sunblock\, hats\, snacks\, water\, and comfortable shoes. Strollers are welcome!\nLet’s meet up at the entrance\, amphitheater area.\n\nStarting at 9:30 am and plan to begin exploring by 10:00 am. Please be mindful of mamas waiting around\, hence\, the 30 minute take off window…\nLook for our Long Beach Moms tote bag\, as service is sorta sketchy in some trail areas. If you arrive late\, know we will take a break by the bridge/stream area\, then proceed to the top of the hill. We will take the 1 mile loop. It takes about 60 minutes to walk\, take breaks\, explore\, and gather sticks.\nI look forward to connecting with moms from the group.\nParking is $6 cash or card– Annual passes are available inside at the Nature Center Office.

He has worked at Miller Children’s & Women’s for over 25 years.  For the last 6 years he has served as the Chief Medical Officer for Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital and remains clinically active as a pediatric critical care attending physician.  Dr. Tse also serves as the Physician-in-Charge of the hospital incident command center for the COVID pandemic for both Long Beach Medical Center as well as Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital.  Dr. Tse completed his medical degree at the University of Ottawa in Canada\, his pediatric residency at the University of Alberta\, also in Canada\, and his pediatric critical care fellowship at University of California\, Los Angeles.\n\nRSVP to hello@yv0.5c2.myftpupload.com for zoom link and submit your questions!\n\n
