DESCRIPTION:🎄 “Jingle & Jammies” – A Holiday Pajama Party on Parade! \nThe Belmont Shore Christmas Parade celebrates its 41st year in 2025! One of the biggest parades of the year in Long Beach takes place yearly on the first Saturday in December. Families line up along 2nd Street for a seat or best viewing of the night-time event that includes Santa Claus\, plenty of elves\, and colorful bands\, costumes\, floats and surprises. \nFor 2025\, organizers are asking parade participants to curbside spectators—to wear their favorite festive pajamas in an attempt to set a world record for the most people wearing pajamas at one time at a public event! \nOver a dozen local marching bands\, 100 entries\, floats designed by Long Beach businesses and associations\, marching bands\, and local personalities and dignitaries\, all make this the hometown favorite to get you in the holiday spirit. Belmont Shore loves the holidays and is adorned with light pole banners with festive holiday symbols and sentiments. \n2025 Grand Marshalls: \n\nDavid Shlemmer – Shlemmer Investments\nMike Sheldrake – Sheldrake’s Coffee Roasting (formerly Polly’s)\nPaige Henley – McCarty’s Jewelry\nDede Rossi – Former Executive Director of the BSBA\n\nThe parade route is along East Second Street and begins heading east from Livingston Avenue to Bayshore Avenue. Entries return to Livingston Avenue heading west along the north side of East Second Street. \nEast 2nd St. closes to traffic at 5 p.m.\, which is the signal for spectators to set up chairs and blankets for a front row seat to the parade. Floats are judged based on Execution of Theme\, Originality of Design and Spectator Appeal. \nThis event is FREE and open for all ages. Tickets or RSVP are not required. \n\n\n\nWebsite
