This vibrant art sanctuary is honored to welcome beloved Latinx Artist Fay Ray featuring “Puerperal\,” and exhibition which explores motherhood\, the maternal journey and life endured through a series of transformative works and installments including entirely newly commissioned works. \nStart the morning with profound healing through a guided meditation and breathwork led by revered integrative wellness practitioner\, Sabrina Rollo\, who will close out with a sound bath for complete balance and inner transformation. \nEnjoy culinary nourishment and meaningful connection with new and old friends at UNION\, Compound’s on-site restaurant\, for a delicious brunch in the Sculpture Garden and Courtyard. \nThe afternoon will culminate with a tour of Compound’s exciting artist exhibition Fay Ray: Puerperal as guests explore and reflect on the inspiring works of this accomplished artist who has shown at respected institutions\, galleries and art spaces in NYC and Paris to Mexico City.  \nFollow @CompoundLBC for the latest in culture\, art. wellness\, dining and future experiences. \nAbout Union \nFostering community through cuisine\, Chef-in-Residence\, Eugene Santiago of Baryo is at the helm of Union featuring an imaginative Southeast Asian inspired menu that showcases California-fresh ingredients together with bold and bright flavors and spices to awaken the palate and the senses. \nAbout Compound \nLocated within the thriving Zaferia District\, Compound is a buzzing art and culture sanctuary centered on the belief that culture shifts consciousness. The spacious complex features thought-provoking contemporary art by emerging\, revered\, and intergenerational artists including those featured in Compound’s current art exhibition. \nCompound is a community inclusive “third place\,” where locals and guests are encourages to explore\, discover\, and connect. \nCompound operates as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) entity with inclusive public programming including contemporary art exhibitions (free and open to the public) and immersive experiences\, artist talks\, wellness classes\, workshops\, community markets\, and youth programs. \nA selection of programs are free and accessible thanks to the generous support of partners and funders.
