2023 Long Beach Moms Summer Camp Guide: Part 1

April is almost here and summer camp sign-ups are already happening! Take a look at the at the Long Beach Moms’ recommendations to a fun and educational summer camp season.

Adventures to Dreams Enrichment: Age: 4-14

Adventures to Dreams is a youth enrichment program, designed to inspire and empower young minds, ages 4 – 14, who live in at-risk communities, by exposing them to education, cultural activities and mentorship. Our focus is teaching Culinary, Gardening/Sustainability, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), and Art. We integrate educational tools, hands-on learning, self – esteem activities, guest speakers, industry professionals, mentorship and field trips to inspire and empower every child. We believe every youth who attends our program leaves with the inspiration to Dream big and Believe they can achieve anything in life.

Aqualand Bay, Surf and Junior Guard Prep Camps Age: 6 – 15

Aqualand bay waterman, surf and junior guard prep camps pass on our love of the bay and ocean to campers in Long Beach and Surfside.

 

 

 

 

En Pointe Dance & Fitness: Ages 6 – 13

Summer Day Camps include: weekly field trips, crafts, dancing, theme days and more. Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, $300 early bird registration before May 31, 2023. $350 starting June 1, 2023. Ages 6-13

Ages 9+

Summer Dance Intensive include: ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz funk & strength & stretch. Monday through Friday, 9:30 am – 1:00 pm. $300 early bird registration before May 31, 2023. $350 starting June 1, 2023. Ages 9 +, dance experience required.

Camp Galileo engages rising K – 8th graders in irresistibly fun, hands-on STEAM-inspired projects and active outdoor games. Our dynamic staff inspires kids to turn big ideas into reality, collaborate with peers and play hard outside. Kids and parents love Galileo because:

TGA Golf Academy: Junior Golf Camps Ages 4-16

Half & Full Day Summer Camps. All ages and skill levels welcome! Life lessons from a Lifelong sport. Our goal is to have kids fall in LOVE with GOLF! 3 areas of our focus: golf skills, athletic development, mental stability. Come learn or improve with us! chipping, putting, full swing >> balance, agility, speed, strength >> focus, discipline, etiquette. On course time option for most camps.

Jewish Long Beach & Alpert JCC: Camp Komaroff Campers ages 5 – 12; CITs ages 13 – 15

Camp Komaroff encourages growth, inspires confidence, and provides a framework for lasting memories and friendships year-round. We provide quality programs that are age-appropriate, fun, and safe.

Our camp is filled with a sense of simcha (joy), kehila (community), ruach (spirit), and kef (fun)! Throughout all our programs, we encourage discovery and self-exploration. Camp K is a warm and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of religious affiliation.

Spring Camp will be a week at the J filled with fun activities for children ages 5 – 6 including daily swimming in our outdoor pool, arts & crafts, science experiments, and sports, as well as visits to Mother’s Beach, Whaley Park, and a field trip for children ages 7 – 12.

Summer break will be full of adventure! Campers look forward to field trips to Knott’s, Soak City, the Aquarium, Science Center and more, as well as daily swimming, games, crafts, cooking, computers and science, and service projects, with options to enroll in specialty arts or science tracks!

CITs (Counselors in Training) enhance the camp experience by serving as role models to campers while developing leadership & communication. CITs will leave camp with strengthened problem-solving, program planning, and leadership skills. This program is intended for students aged 13-15 (8th – 10th grade). A work permit will be required. Volunteer Hours eligible.

Long Beach Rising Birthday Parties & Youth Programs Age: 6 – 18

Rock Climbing Birthday Parties for kids 6-18 as well as after school climbing programs and competitive teams programs (great for alternative PE or kids that aren’t as into traditional team sports but still want to socialize and build confidence through physical endeavors).
