Growing Up In Long Beach

Celebrate Black History Month with Long Beach resident Sharon Diggs-Jackson, as she shares her experiences, wonders, and challenges of growing up in Long Beach, California. Other topics of discussion include Long Beach as a historically supportive Black community and the integration of LBUSD.
A student of history, Mrs. Jackson is a trained genealogist and author of Images of America: SELMA. Published in November 2014, the book has been well received and is now in its second printing.
