We’ve curated community opportunities that serve as crisis resources while extending a caring hand to anyone who needs help from time to time.  It is our goal to create a community where kindness exists.

Gun Violence Resources

WomenShelter of Long Beach

WomenShelter of Long Beach provides a variety of supportive services to victims of domestic violence and their children.  These services include a 24/7 crisis hotline, individual and peer group counseling at our Domestic Violence Resource Center, a confidential Supportive Housing facilities, legal and health advocacy, and more.  All services are offered at no charge.  In addition, we have a robust Outreach and Education Program and work closely with the Long Beach Unified School District, California State University Long Beach, and others.  We provide presentations on DV 101,  Teen Dating Violence, Building Healthy Relationships, Affirmative Consent, and more.

Alcoholics Anonymous

If you’re struggling with an addiction to alcohol, help may be just a phone call away, thanks to the 24-Hour Hotlines run by Alcoholics Anonymous.  Independently run by AA groups in cities throughout the world, these hotlines provide information and refer callers to volunteers who are ready round the clock to answer questions and offer help.

The C.A.R.E. Program and Clinic

An outpatient services center that offers many services, including social services, health education, and housing assistance. Visit CARE Program located at 1045 Atlantic Ave, Long Beach, CA. This Long Beach outpatient services center is one of the best in California. As part of the Dignity Health network, CARE Program is dedicated to delivering high quality, compassionate care and access to Long Beach and nearby communities.

California Coalition for Youth

The California Youth Crisis Line (CYCL) operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week as the statewide emergency response system for youth (ages 12-24) and families in crisis. Professionally trained staff and volunteer counselors respond to 20,000 calls annually with crisis intervention counseling and resource referrals to service providers in the caller’s local community. We have access to more than 5,500 free or low-cost resources for youth and families across California.

The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline

The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline is dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. Serving the U.S. and Canada, the hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with professional crisis counselors who—through interpreters—provide assistance in over 170 languages. The hotline offers crisis intervention, information, and referrals to thousands of emergency, social service, and support resources. All calls are confidential.

Genesis/FACTS FCCS Program

Offers Field Capable Clinical Services (FCCS) to Older Adults, ages 60 and above. FCCS offers an alternative to traditional mental health services for older adults who may be unable to access services due to impaired mobility, frailty, or other limitations.

National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI)

The nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to educating, advocating, supporting, and building better lives for the millions of individuals and families affected by mental illness. NAMI Long Beach Area is here to serve our local community.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.

If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted or sexually abused, call us. All rape treatment services are free.

Su Casa, Ending Domestic Violence

Our primary purpose is to protect families from the immediate danger stemming from domestic violence and to break the inter-generational cycle of abuse. All our programs are designed with this purpose in mind. We help victims learn how to have safe, healthy relationships and how to remain safe when they leave the shelter.
