Shauna Pilloff is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of experience providing mental health services to diverse populations. Her practice is in Long Beach, California, and she provides ​local in-person counseling and online counseling throughout the state of California. She provides counseling services to moms, parents, children, teenagers and young adults. Mrs. Pilloff specializes in anxiety counseling. Mrs. Pilloff has a collaborative, down-to-earth and compassionate style. She uses a variety of modalities, tailoring them to her clients’ unique situation, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Exposure​ and Response Prevention for anxiety and OCD, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed, Solution-Focused and Play-Based approaches while encouraging a meaningful exploration for growth and wellness.

In addition to her private practice, Mrs. Pilloff has experience working in a variety of settings. She has 9 years of experience providing mental health services in elementary, middle and high schools as a School Social Worker. She has also provided psychotherapy to adults, children, teens, ​adults and parents in mental health clinics in Los Angeles and in New York City.

Mrs. Pilloff has some unique credentials, trainings, certifications and personal experiences that make her one-of-a-kind. She has a double Pupil Personnel Services Credential in both School Social Work and School Counseling with an understanding of the intersection between academics and mental health in schools. She also has her national certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) for children and teens and is certified as a SPACE provider, which stands for Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions, which is a short-term parent-based treatment program to address anxiety in their child or teen. Additionally, prior to COVID-19, Mrs. Pilloff was already providing online counseling to kids, teens and their parents as a contractor for online schools and has experience utilizing interactive virtual play, games, art and activities to engage and treat teens and children. Furthermore, she is certified as a Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional and as a Clinical Telemental Health Provider.  Lastly, her work is inspired by being a mom of two young kids, and she addresses parenting challenges from an attachment-based perspective.

Mrs. Pilloff is a member of the California School Social Workers Association and the International OCD Foundation. She received her Masters in Social Work from University of Southern California.
