Shauna Pilloff, LCSW
Shauna Pilloff is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 20 years of experience providing mental health services to children, teens, adults and families.. Mrs. Pilloff specializes in anxiety, trauma, OCD and Obsessive Compulsive related concerns including tics/tourettes, body focused repetitive behaviors (skin picking, hair pulling) and body dysmorphic disorder. In addition to anxiety and OCD, she provides neurodivergent and LGBTQ affirming care and works with diverse individuals who have selective mutism, ADHD, autism, anger, behavior and social challenges, depression and are dealing with other stressors. Mrs. Pilloff uses short-term evidence-based treatment to help her clients obtain long-term relief including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Comprehensive Behavior Intervention for Tics, Habit Reversal Training, trauma informed care, mindful and self-compassion approaches, adapting treatment to each person’s unique situation and developmental level. Mrs. Pilloff has a down-to-earth and warm nature using compassionate and gentle approaches to help clients learn strategies to relate to unwanted or distressing thoughts in new ways to better manage symptoms, develop confidence, face their fears and thus live a more meaningful life.
Mrs. Pilloff has been in private practice since 2020 serving individuals locally in-person and virtually throughout California. She previously provided mental health services to children in elementary, middle and high school as a School Social Worker. Additionally, she worked in mental health services in the inner cities of Los Angeles and New York City providing psychotherapy to children, teens and adults.
Mrs. Pilloff has various credentials and certifications. She has a pupil personnel services credential in both School Social Work and School Counseling. She has her certifications in the following: Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD through Cognitive Behavior Institute; Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics through the Tourette Association of America; and Trauma-Focused CBT through Allegheny Health Network .
She is a member of the International OCD Foundation, Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, and she is an Affiliate Member of California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
