Join us for the 15th Annual Run Like It’s Recess 5K Run/Walk, 1K, and Toddler Run

1K Start Time: 10:15 am

Toddler Run Start Time: 10:45

This annual event is hosted by Newcomb Academy PTSA, which serves Newcomb Academy (Grades K–8), a public school in the Long Beach Unified School District.  
A school fundraiser and a way to promote health and fitness to the entire area. This family-friendly event is open to all ages and fitness levels. Stroller and wheelchair friendly.  

​Medals will be given to all finishers.

Awards for the top three 5K finishers.

FREE Dri-Fit Shirt if registered by 1/5/26 at 11:59 pm.

The Course: Flat, fast, and scenic. It takes place at El Dorado Park East in Long Beach, near the train and playground area. If you’re looking to set a personal record or if you just want to take it easy and take in the scenery, this is the perfect course.
