Lucinda Lambros: Creating Financial Wellness for Single Moms

Lucinda Lambros is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, passionate about helping single moms achieve financial wellness for themselves and their families. Division of families is never easy in more ways than one and Lucinda utilizes her financial background and knowledge as a C.D.F.A. to help women take control of their own finances. But it’s more than that for her: it’s also about helping women take control of their own lives.

After helping her mom with her finances when her dad passed away and watching her sister-in-law in a similar situation when her brother died, she knew there was more that needed to be done for women and their finances. She began her career as an Advisor Assistant 10 years ago and quickly recognized how important it was to trust someone to help organize and show a path to reach financial goals. Better yet, how important that trust needs to be when someone is dealing with the death of a loved one, a divorce, or making major life changes, such as a career change or moving across the country. It wasn’t too long after that she went about getting licensed to practice as well.

Most people perceive themselves as emotional beings which leads them to want to avoid analytical thinking such as making financial decisions. They see themselves as warm and emotional and incompatible with how financial decisions are made – cold and unemotional. Lucinda helps unravel that analytical process as she learns more about each client and their life goals, not just financial goals. She asks a lot of questions– beyond financial– and takes the time to explain options, providing education on an on-going basis through regular client meetings and monthly webinars.

Everyone has a friend or sister or mom who has gone through a divorce and feeling especially vulnerable financially. With Lucinda’s Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (C.D.F.A.) credential, she helps these individuals get organized and understand their financial choices when facing a separation and divorce. She stays with them through the process and answers the tough questions, including offering other professional referrals when needed.

Fifty-five percent of women believe they know less than the average investor and fewer than 2 in 10 women feel “very well prepared” to make wise financial decisions, which is why Lucinda has set out to empower women with the resources, information, and support. Now with 80% of her clients single women, her clients have the ability and guidance to make confident decisions and feel good about their futures.
